Here, here - I think the issue with Buffy: Season 9 (ha! get it? issue? comics? I kill me!) is that it had to pick at threads that weren't really there to begin with. At least with Firefly, there is a substantial amount of questions that were left unanswered at series/movie end.

Have you used the previous Garmin devices? The bands are pre-molded rigid pieces. They're very uncomfortable and don't conform well to your wrist at all. These have pliable bands that have no large rigid sections. So, theoretically, they should fit much better!

Those are damn nice looking. That this has a real watch band, not a molded plastic monstrosity, might actually be the feature that convinces me to ditch my old 405.
