    Women jeans have non-cotton material, probably at least 2% or more spandex or other things... that is the culprit. Most men’s jeans (although men are starting to get some of that stretch going) are 100% cotton. 100% cotton is extremely anti-microbial and will eventually kill any bacteria if hung up and let to dry-air

    This needs a rewrite. Vinegar doesn’t set indigo dye, and retayne doesn’t either. The fact is nothing sets indigo after the vat dye is done, that is why they use it, people like the wear it gives, it is inferior on purpose until the worn jean look goes out of style.
