I always though SAAB had a nice collection of wheels, the three spikes wern’t to everyone’s liking but most of the turbine designs have stacked up.

We’re getting the Edge just in Australia it will be called the Endura because Toyota owns the Edge trademark in Aus.

Actually, they’ve just started production in China to fill the 200,000 production order. Things are bleak in Sweden but hopeful in China at the new factory. Currently, the Trollhattan factory is being used to press body panels.

Now playing

If you want to see Clarkson go down a ski slope in a Jag he already did it.

We had a place near us that used different Mini’s i.e. cooper, countryman, cabrio etc... They’re less appealing now they have Ford Focuses.

I just bought a Giulietta to replace my Saab 9-3 Aero. Drove it 470km’s home from Sydney without an issue.

It’s really not that basic once you add the technology pack. Then you get the Sync 3 system, LCD cluster, auto headlights and wipers and bunch of other stuff.

I think the cost savings that GM made were with Saab, Autoliv manufactured Saab’s airbags on the 9-5 and 9-3, and the second generation 9-3 up until 2005 when they switched to Takata airbags,

We have the fusion and escape here, they’re sold as the Mondeo and Kuga. We use the european names plus our Mondeo comes in a hatch or wagon instead of the fusion which only comes in sedan.

I don;t think the drift feature should be disabled like the burnout mode on the Mustang was. But we do have a big issue with ‘hooning’ in Australia and to be honest it’s not really the Ford Focus or Mustang that is the issue. For years Australian’s bought locally made Holden Commodores (Pontiac GTO, G8 and Chevrolet

Toyota decided to get sporty with the Avalon and take inspiration from Hyundai LOL

Volvo developed this with Kangaroo’s in mind which in Australia if you live in regional areas or even bushy (forested) areas are super common and can inflict heavy damage. There not intelligent creatures especially at night where headlights act as a sort of hallway for them, I had to pull over and turn off my lights

SAAB 9-5NG Comfortable, Reliable and Interesting. All for under $15k, it still looks modern and has all of the modern car features. Why would this appeal to a non-car person or a person who hates cars. They can troll people because they own a Saab, its comfortable but not boring, its different but not flashy. Its good

But lets be honest, the reviewers major criticism of the SAAB 9-3 was that it is too alike to the Vectra. I doubt SAAB would have last as long as it had. Look at Pontiac, by the time GM had finished with it there models could barely be differentiated. I think GM pulled the plug too soon both the new 9-5 and 9-4x had

I still keep track of my second car (first was written-off), I don't regret selling it because it became to much maintenance but I do miss its character and comfortable seats. I still see it around from time to time certainly not in the condition I kept it but not neglected.

What about all three of them in this car,

I have the navigation system in my 9-3 so when its sitting not doing much other then being bright and white I tend to use the night panel, reduces the strain on my eyes.

The other day I was driving my other Swedish manufactured car and a kangaroo was sitting in the middle of the road. My mate was in the car and said turn off your headlights, why? They think the road is a hallway. So we sat for 10 minutes waiting for it to get off the road because honestly it was all over the place.

Australian spec 2015 facelifts have a conventinal auto now.
