1981 Audi 5000: Hard to find electrical window switches requiring yearly changes. Vacuum operated door leaks, I mean locks. Mechanical fuel injected 5 cylinder and with the battery way back under the rear seat. Looked pretty for a while though.

One very cold morning I blew the timing belt in my ‘96 that had the same 2.3L motor. With a little bit of elbow grease it ended up costing me a grand total of $48 CDN....48 BUCKS! Hooray for non-interference fit engines.

My father had ‘79 F150 with a small “trunk” in the side of box in front of the tire. I always thought these were pretty cool until I owned a truck with one and realized they rusted out pretty bad. They are still neat though due to being such a good use of space.

The SX4 has horrendous fuel economy for such a little car. My Outback gets better mpg than these. I still want an SX4 though, I even signed the papers on one when they were stopping sales in Canada. They were a really good deal at the time but the used prices now are way too high compared to what they were selling
