The typical derailment is just that. A wheel or two came off the track. Put the rerail frog under it and pull/push it back on. Happens literally thousands of times for every major accident like this. The nature of narrow steel wheels with a little flange keeping them on a narrow steel rail.

Honestly given the level of willful negligence that Boeing has engaged in, I think that they ought to owe a hell of a lot more than 1 billion.  millions of passengers have been put in danger because they cut every corner possible with their recent planes.  

You’re right. We’ve been trained to call these “derailments” like we’ve been trained that an auto accident is a “whoopsie, someone had an accident today when they plowed right into a bus stop, killing 5".

i always find it interesting how you americans call these “derailments”. where i’m from something that involves cranes and produces scrap metal is far beyond a simple derailment and would be called a major accident

I feel like at least there are more older actresses getting parts instead of Jennifer Lawrence playing all 20/30/40 year olds. Sophia Vergera is 50 (not like a normal human 50, but still 50) and did a great job on Griselda.

This also doesn’t ~entirely speak to the complaint, that meaty roles that are not intellectually degrading are not being written for younger women. You get a lot of Summer I Turned Pretty/My Life with the Whatever Boys type of stuff. I dare say that young men are being poorly served in the not-condescending content…

If you knew what you are doing then you would be familiar with the study that comes out every year that deep dives into the actual numbers of roles for women. All the way down to line counts.
