I don’t know why we can have this now. July 28th seems like way too far away.

So weird to watch this place bend over backwards to praise Flash despite all its problems with Miller as a person while absolutely shitting on Mario under the guise of Pratt’s shitty politics.
According to Gaiman, this season is less of the proposed sequel that he and Pratchett worked on together, and more of a bridge that gets them from Good Omens to the opening pages of that sequel, which will hopefully become season 3... assuming season 2 does well enough in the ratings.
That’s not to say this season is…
Though it should be noted that Season 2 is not based on the sequel outline that Neil and Terry worked on together. Neil said that that will be the basis of (the currently only hypothetical) Season 3, and Season 2 is all-new material to bridge the gap between that and the original.
It will never not be funny to me that this movie was announced right when The Flash tv series was just starting and many people were concerned it might kill the momentum of the show and then it took the entire 9-year run of the show for this movie to finally come out.
“Damn it, Barry! - The Movie”
Did not know until recently that the brilliantly funny John Finnemore - a talent who SHOULD be more widely known outside of England by now - is an exec producer and writer on S2, so now I’m doubly stoked for this.
There will also be a bit of Pratchett in there in that they had developped the rought outline of the sequel together. And of course, his ghost haunted the set and played practical jokes on everyone.
My mom asked me if she needed to watch the other DCEU movies first before this one — she’s only seen the Shazams, WWs, and Aquaman. But since she’s watched The Flash on TV, I told her she’ll “get the gist, remember when Barry went back and changed stuff? Same thing in the movie”
Megan Markle was in the cast for 7 seasons of a long running TV show and may have made up to $5 million before even entering the royal family which is pretty good compared to most actors overall, I would have thought.
at the same time you do have the fact that it’s a television show to also curb the dark side of gaiman which definitely helps.
I gotta presume the “they” is just using Miller’s pronouns correctly, and Sasha Calle was randomly included to cause maximum linguistic confusion.
If it was anyone else other than Neil Gaiman continuing a series Pratchett Co -Developed I’d be very worried .. as it is I’m only somewhat worried.
Of all the things you thought that this might be “slightly derivivative of”, the one thing you should have included was the Arrowverse Flash series.
Love it that the author agrees it’s highly unlikely that the phone hacking happened just once but it’s still all just puffery. Jez is fucking incredible these days.
So literally phone hacking but you don’t think there is anything illegal?
This film starring Ezra Miller and Sasha Calle has been getting a ton of great press even though they committed a series of violent crimes.
You couldn’t pay me to support anything with Miller in it. This will be one to download, not one to see in the theater. Not that any of you care about what someone does as long they use pronouns.
“surely both Barry Allens can defeat Zod”
I vote it should be “Barrys Allen”.
Honestly this is too little too late. I’ve just not been feeling this “sendoff” to a failed crack at live action DCU. I can wait for video to watch this.
