I have this issue too, and I don't quite understand the switch between traditional menus and toolbars to the "ribbon" interface in many programs (office, ACAD, etc). I don't see any major improvement of one over the other, but it's a lot harder to find the stuff that you need that you don't know the shortcuts for.
Or change the pipes?

Well, stories have always had a teaching component so this makes a lot of sense. I'd say sci-fi stories might be particularly useful at teaching tolerance because it usually tackles discrimination in pretty straight-forward but fun ways. Examples would be X-men, Ender's Game (in spite of the author), Captain Planet,…
