The fact that everyone is still talking about 10 years after it was cancelled with less than a full season makes an important show. How "good" or "bad" it was is irrelevant. It is influential. Like the Fringe people acknowledged - were it not for Firefly they wouldn't have had a season 5 to wrap up the story.
