I think that - in addition to the enhanced gauge visibility - the largely open wheel would contribute to a more airy feeling in the cockpit.

There was a scrambler version, ostensibly for off-road use, that had high pipes and a skid plate but I wouldn’t put it in the same category as MX bikes - especially with those tires. :-)

The front brake is fairly grabby, but that’s how it was when I got the bike. I haven’t put any time into tweaking it.

That makes for a fairly low chance of you running into another at any time and hence limits the likelihood of any sort of Westside Story-style dance-off.

It appears to be that little silver bit near the 4:00 position on the steering wheel, roughly between the top of the knob panel and the bottom of the vent panel. (Basically where one might expect it to be.)
