Man on internet gets offended because he thinks people are too easily offended. More at 11.

"Diversity is important! Unless you've come under fire for diversity problems, in which case you should shut up and hope everyone forgets!"

Some of the tropes that are used in most anime wore me out. I used to watch a handful of shows daily in college, and I know there are still good ones. But if it's this easy to make something "anime", that says a lot about how formulaic it can be. To say nothing of the pretty gross gender representations in many shows.

Okay...Gone Home, which was the PC GOTY from VGX and other places.

Studios can use cross development tools to target Windows and Mac and Linux and PS4 and Xbone...or they could build separately for Wii U. Even if more people bought it, and without mentioning its severe technical limitations...yeah.

Basically every other industry. You don't have to be spectacular to get into the games industry; you do have to work your butt off. If you work your butt off at most things, you will more or less get employed doing *something*, even if it wasn't precisely what you were doing.

So aside from exactly the comments everyone saw coming, it reminded me of this Scandinavian LARP, which is set up with a group of women in a world where all the men died in some worldwide disaster (probably disease, it seems ambiguous on purpose). For anyone unfamiliar with the sort of LARPing that is largely

On the one hand, I can see why people may be offended...but I don't think this is that bad. On the other hand, reading the comments is all it takes to throw their feelings into perspective.

If you read the RPS article, it looks like the writer was kicked out after asking completely legitimate questions—ones people in these comments have agreed with.

I don't refer to myself as a feminist because reasons, and yeah, looks pretty sexist. Also apparently not very fun. As opposed to watching porn where people look like they're enjoying themselves. /shrug

Video games are 35 years old if you count Space Invaders. You could go back farther, but that feels like a conservative statement to me.

So that's a very long article, and I get that Kotaku's writers won't all agree, but Totilo's review of AC III begins:

There was a PAX this year (I forget which) where someone asked Jerry to marry him to his girlfriend. Was great:

Connor wasn't riveting...but Ezio wasn't remarkable. His defining traits were being Italian and impressing ladies. He was roguish, but meh. Amazing dialog and character portrayal isn't really what the series thrives on, IMO.

I'm 27 and it was their first terrible album. Make of that what you will.

Oh hey. Kotaku comments!

Article is misleading: It's not *any* GTX card, you need a GTX 650 or higher (I have a 560 and play lots of new games at good settings, so I was bummed. Looks like MSI is still for me *kick dirt*). Also I believe Shadowplay is in beta, in which case to get it you need to enable Nvidia Experience to accept beta updates.
