Activision owns Blizz, obviously, but the Blizz devs knew enough about DOTA as a WC3 mod vs DOTA2 as a standalone IP to not bite on the initial claim. When Blizz accepted the Valve compromise, Activision took it as a cue to back off from actually pursuing anything against Valve.

Actually, the reality there is that a dev for LoL (Pendragon, I think) reached out to Activision telling them that Valve had stolen their Defense of the Allstarts IP under WC3 EULA. When Blizzard reached out to Valve, though, the latter was able to establish an agreement that DOTA2 was a separate IP (it wasn’t Defense

The player kept taunting throughout the match when he knew he was going to die - basically signaling that he wasn’t going to try to escape. Since Undying doesn’t have a good escape mechanism in this instance, it would be easy to believe that he was more or less just dicking around and not trying to run away.

He’s made a lot of enemies lately in the name of making money: convincing teammates not to sign contracts so he can change terms on them, taking a 10% cut of winnings from his team despite promising that they would get 100%, making deals with sponsors and never passing along the spoils to his team, etc.

I don’t know if I would call him to consummate esports athlete. There was a lot of drama recently when it came out that he was trying to be too much of a Team Secret executive and was completely foregoing any scrims or practice and lost a lucrative contract with PandaTV because he had no interest in streaming or

Tims’ Earth Spirit is what has me rooting for them in this tourney.

The team has honestly been in limbo since their first iteration fell apart. They won a few LANs early on and then sucked so bad that they reshuffled their roster three times over.

Sorry friend, words have denotative meaning and the OP’s statement was factually incorrect. I got what they were trying to say: I was just pointing out that they were wrong because it reads as needlessly dismissive.

I mean, OP implied two things very plainly:

Sure, and those highlights are not the ones I’m talking about. OP made it seem like every MOBA highlight requires scope and lead in in order to be comprehendable.

There are plenty of MOBA highlights that begin and end within a few seconds.

To be fair, not many top 10 teams actually attended this event. DC is good, but they didn’t have to take on EG or OG to take the tourney.

Paralympic basketball involved players sitting on their asses. Maybe find a better generalization to use?

Based on the burden it bears in carrying those polos, pretty sturdy.

There are a lot of hard counters to Ursa currently and Mask of Madness got a heavy nerf in the Sniper meta, so I doubt Ursa will be tweaked anytime soon.

RIP you, I guess.

? It’s a tiny nerf that forces him to stay in lane for a few more creep waves.

Everyone seems pretty happy with the minor tweaks all around, especially with the rebalancing of Morphling’s endgame mana pool.

“Team Canada predictably beat Team Russia in the HWC semifinals” is not much of a story on its own. They’re probably waiting for Europe Sweden to finish so they can write up a preview for the finals.
