Nah. There is a pretty clear attempt within the new Doom to tell a story. The only questions are whether it is intended to tie to previous games and, if so, which ones.

Seriously, that was terrible. Do they not understand that anime fans are going to be one of their biggest fanbases? And thought insulting them was a good idea?

This commercial was so bad it made me cry like an anime fan on prom night.

I should have phrased it better, but if you read other comments, you’ll see that I’m largely not antagonistic (except for one sub-thread) :P.

The characters are very well designed, with lots of vibrant personality. The “pixar-like” cinematics are also helping the audience to create emotional attachments to them.

My nephew tried this, but apparently a hero who controls butts is not within the scope of their “artistic design”.

100% this. It’s bad communication on From Software’s part, and they should be called out for it. Same with the mysterious bannings on PC.

So, Patrick, you’ve more or less dictated how I’ll be spending my afternoon: Watching the Steam forum for Dark Souls III absolutely choke on its own froth in response to this statement from From.

Personally, I’ve had very few problems with the PC version of DS III (I did get the initial bonfire crash, but reducing

That probably tastes better on toast than mine.
