What theory? I said that I felt that the author was using 3300 words to disguise the fact that they had nothing of merit to say. That's not a theory, that's an observation.

Explain to me what I'm missing about this post. I read it multiple times, and it feels to me like it uses a lot of words to say a whole lot of nothing. If you think I'm missing the point though, please enlighten me, I'm listening.

This, a million times over.

Yep, people sure are allowed to think critically about things. That's why I can look at this piece, and criticize it for being overwritten, aimless, and bad.

When it takes you 3300 words to say, essentially, "this game is bad because I didn't like it, and everyone who likes it is a fool" you have failed at writing

There's nothing wrong with saying something bad about any game, even a good one. The problem is using 3300 words to disguise the fact that your entire article says nothing more than "This is bad because I say it's bad, and everyone who likes it are just unenlightened fools, unlike me."

I liked Saints Row 3 a lot, but there's room for both kinds of game in this world, serious ones that try to tell a good story, and immerse you, and silly over the top ones.

"When we announced it on April 1st, I think one of the most interesting aspects of that was how sad it was, you had so many people going, oh this would never get made!...and what the fuck, you know? We're at that point...any form of idea of a game, and especially one where people go 'oh this is awesome,' that people

Nope. In fact, IIRC, both her and Garrus being a romance option in 2 was billed as sort of a "by popular demand!" thing at the time.

So this anime is about Voldemort's high school experimentation with cross dressing, right?

My problem with Bioshock 2, and indeed the thing that pushes it into the "bad game" category in my opinion, is that the areas you visit are for the most part so uninspired and boring. *Spoilers for Bioshock 2, if you care, to follow*

So you start off in a hotel. "Adonis Luxury Resort." Ok! That's a solid concept, and

He's not the mayor this town deserves, he's just the one they need right now.

Jake Solomon... Stay awesome. The games industry needs awesome.

Yep. Long story abbreviated, the State of Rhode Islands gave them $75 million to bring the company there. Once there, they promptly started running out of money, bought Reckoning (and had them change a few things late in development to tie it in with the MMO), and then went bankrupt. Instead of paying the State of

I think it would be pretty cool if part of the plot was that people were messing with Mewtwo's genetic structure, just like they did with Mew, to make a Mewthree. Maybe I am alone in this.

It'll end up having a few awesome games which people, like myself, will buy it for, and other than that, it'll collect dust for several years.

The difference this time is that the market that got a Wii as their first gaming experience, and only played Wii Sports on it are going to be perfectly happy keeping their Wii,

I don't think I've ever played one of his games, but he's always seemed like a nice guy in any interviews and such I've seen with him.

I don't get the people complaining about the combat in this game. It's like they totally missed the part where you can THROW BIRDS AT PEOPLE!

In all seriousness though, I thought it was fun from a gameplay perspective, with above-average shooting.

I disagree. I don't think Bioshock Infinite's violence is a problem, in fact, I think it adds to the game. Part of the point of that entire opening is showing how "idyllic," Columbia is for a small segment of the population (read: white people), in a sort of Downtown Disney type of way.

I don't have enough hate for this today.

I think it would make sense to implement a way for projects to put a certain hard limit on their project should they choose to, since they might not want the stress of having to upscale what started as a tiny $100,000 fun side-project into a full $6 Million studio-wide project, but if they don't choose to do so, I
