The only reason the ACA is a problem in Republican states is because they were willing to do whatever it took to deny the Scary Black Man® a policy win, even if it meant screwing over their own citizens.

They won’t. They’re a lost cause.

Agreed. One of my coworkers looked up what it would cost to join the California exchange with a husband and 3 kids and it was less than $1000/month with a $250 deductible.

I moved here 18 years ago from the reddest state in the Union (Indiana) and I haven’t regretted it even for a second. This is where I really belong.

“Dystopian visions”? Every time we walk out the front door it’s like working on our doctoral thesis. Why attend a class?

Unfortunately the corporatist Democrats are still firmly in the Clintonesque camp of “at least we’re not as bad as the Republicans” way of thinking, because just like all the collaborationist scum on the GOP side, they put their own individual prosperity ahead of their solemn duty. Great. Something else that will never, ever be in stock, and will be pulled from the market only months after launch.

I forgot to mention one more: “making liberals cry”. They all seem to get a kick out of that one for some reason, again thanks to Hannity and other media pukes.

All the Trump supporters I know, most of whom are rural, not college-educated, and white, care about problems and solutions that have no effect on their lives at all, thanks to right-wing radio and TV.

Ah yes, North Carolina. The Land of Terrible People and Terrible Things™.

Based on what my Trump supporter friends have been saying, the NYT article is way more accurate. He hasn’t lost any of them; they’re sticking with him no matter what.

“Refure”? Sounds like an English-sounding word meant to sound like English, to people who don’t speak English.
