It’s cool that 18 months in, Sony finally added a feature that the PS3 has had for 8 years, and that the XBox One and XBox360 shipped with. Bravo guys. :P

Hmm.

The Library was long and boring, and my least favorite level of the game because of the slow progress. Getting through it intact usually took at least a half hour of solid combat. You definitely couldn’t go through it at a run; that would be suicide. I wouldn’t call it especially difficult (except the frustrating

I had canceled my WoW sub a couple months ago because even though WoD was a huge improvement over the previous two expansions, I still eventually hit a dead end. I was planning to renew as soon as they introduced flight into Draenor. Now that it appears to be off the table I guess I won’t be coming back after all. :(

Great. After they fix CS:GO, then they can fix the same problem in CS:Source. And then CS 1.6. Then, once they get rid of all the botters, maybe I’ll be back. Maybe.

Wait, a bunch of already-rich assholes gamed a system they control, to make themselves even richer??

I disagree. Most people who are victims of this kind of thing are first, naive. Seriously, why in hell would someone waste all that time and energy to catfish a completely anonymous person? Do they really have such sad and empty lives that they have to get their kicks by fucking with someone online that they have no

I never understood cheating in online games. If you are too lazy/busy/otherwise occupied to play a game the way it was intended, why not try something new and novel like going outside, or getting a job, or learning a foreign language.

Gears was Microsoft’s second “killer app” after Halo, and clearly demonstrated that the 360 wasn’t just going to be a one-trick pony. I’m surprised you didn’t jump in; I remember being completely blown away by it myself. Those were good times to be a gamer.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Um... am I just out of touch? I follow video game news pretty closely and I’ve never heard any conspiracy theories about Yokoi’s death. I just viewed it as tragic (and somewhat ironic) that the awful Virtual Boy was to be his legacy. And that was about it. Is this a Japan-only thing?

Let me start by saying that I am a Colts fan, so anything that screws the Patriots would normally be a good thing in my book. Especially as it pertains to the AFC playoff game that eliminated the Colts and sent the Pats to the Super Bowl.

One more game and you’ll get your wish. Just be patient.

Yeah I don’t think “hapless” is an applicable term for describing the Jags anymore.

Now playing

Plus it had the greatest opening of all racing games

Interesting, well-considered response. There’s one factor that you are overlooking though: a lot more goes into making old games run on new hardware than just the cost of the silicon. You are ignoring factors like the cost of integrating the old architecture with the new (while ensuring it doesn’t cause problems with

No More Heroes: Paradise...

If Diablo III is on the list, then Assassins Creed Black Flag should be too.

I also am fine with the remasters, but I think the shortage of quality original games for the current generation systems is a symptom of a problem that has been getting worse with each succeeding console generation for quite awhile now: games that can actually take full advantage of the hardware are taking longer and

You bring up many good points that I happen to agree with. The original incentive for backward compat (being able to boast of a “vast library” of games ready-made for a brand new system) has faded, especially with the current generation. The market has shifted thanks in large part to the introduction of affordable HD
