Depends if you play handhelds during the day, like if you do a lot of traveling or take public transit. If you don't, I wouldn't normally recommend getting one unless you really like the games, because normally you would be at home where you could just play a console.

Are you sure? They show 4 distinct characters, I was under the impression that they were all separate characters with their own styles and voices and weren't just blank avatars.

Yeah I've been saying that forever... Just looking at the roster for Mario Kart 8 you can see they've run out of characters. Metal Mario/Peach, 5 baby characters, The Koopalings, Koopa and Shy Guy. It's weak.
