Sounds like you guys are a bit hung up on the model names. 980M is not meant to be comparable to GTX 980. It uses the same number, but it is quite a different card. There is a new laptop graphics card coming out next month, the 990M, which is based on the GTX 980, and will be comparable.

It's simple, publishers are earning much higher total revenue when they sell their games at the lower price points. They sell a lot more copies, and there is almost zero variable cost for each additional copy.

I agree, even bought either Arkham City or Arkham Asylum (can't recall which), during Steam sale, just to try it. It was kind of repetitive, fly around the city, either keep fighting the same kind of thugs or do puzzle mini-games.
