@vel0city: I continue to disagree - he is an idiot.

@erichg14: Blockbuster has not successfully negotiated streaming deals with sooner release dates than what Netflix has negotiated.
@ZLevee: I mean, for one thing he fails to see Netflix already provides the 10,000 movies at the push of a button he's talking about. And as for whether a particular title is available right away or not, that's merely a licensing issue to be worked out by any streaming service and any movie studio.
@erichg14: You somehow think that in this case context made his quote any better?
@octasquid: Actually, it seems "bunker" was the mistake. And logically, doesn't "band that guards sides" make more sense than "wholly encapsulating fortress"?
@kian01: Yes, you can. The files are written to disk. Even if you computer was just naturally losing battery charge and the battery dies, you will start up where you left off, as it will boot from the hibernate file.
You neglected to mention a key feature of Hibernate — you can leave the computer off indefinitely, and unlike Sleep Mode, even if the battery dies, once you plug it in again you'll be right where you left off.
@Guard: Actually, Hibernation is completely different from a shutdown, and I think you miss SpudDude's point. In hibernate, the current state of everything is written to disk, and power is no longer drawn. It takes only a few seconds to start up again. So you get the fast boot of sleep and the no power draw of…
@JabbaB: Oh I totally agree. There's lots of girls who look intelligent and sexy with glasses. I was just saying the Palin photo killed what was otherwise a good fantasy.
@G.O.D.: That killed it for me. Instant softie.
I have to somewhat disagree on the cleaning advice, as I've seen a few instances where cleaning the registry had a significant impact — Not on speed though. Before going on, I do agree most registry cleaners are crap, and I'm not ashamed to admit that, as I've experienced, some will even harm your system. However I've…
Wow: "Watson was charged with her murder after the coroner concluded he had deliberately shut off her oxygen supply............An underwater film made during the fatal dive captured Watson swimming away while his wife sank to the ocean floor. Watson, an experienced rescue diver, told authorities his wife, a novice,…
@NowhereGirl: for some reason the Jensen guy at EW doesn't think he's Esau, but meh, he didn't give a great reason: [www.ew.com]
@WheresMyMac'n'Cheese?!?: no you miss my point — yes he touched hem all, but that's another issue. Aside from that, he had some significant interactions with a few of those he touched, but not with others, and what's up with the interference?
@GuyismyGuy: I don't think he stopped Sayid from being killed or simply failed to prevent Nadia's death. The way I saw it, Nadia stopped and turned around because Sayid was not walking alongside her. It was that delay that put her in the spot where she was hit. If Jacob hadn't been there the two of them would have…
@theysaidwhat: It doesn't matter if she stole before or after - he stopped the shop owner from calling the police. Sawyer might have written he letter anyhow (the old guy didn't discourage him) but Jacob helped him continue with it. He actively encouraged Hurley. He caused the death of Sayid's wife. I'd say interfered…
I'm late but — did anyone think it was significant that while yes, there was the touching thing, Jacob interfered in the lives of several charactes in the flashbacks (Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, Hurley, possibly Locke if he borught him back to life), but merley said hello to others (Jack, Sun & Jin)?
