Apparently, Jezzie love for Hugh Jackman cannot be tainted by a post title that references appalling imagery.

@stacyinbean: Yeah people do much more messed up things when drunk. Domestic violence for example — you always hear how drunk people do it but you never hear about weed leading to that.

@bowleserised: It also reminded me of the term "Joy Division". I think even people who know about the Holocaust don't usually know the term though. For anyone unfamiliar: [en.wikipedia.org]

@foco fo-SHO!: True! You can O.D. on alcohol, but not weed!

@Ceiling Cat: not harmless but (1) compared to smoking you only take a few hits of weed, vs. numerous drags off numerous cigarettes. (2) compared to drinking, you don't damage your liver, and the "memory" effects people make so much of are proven to eb temporary, whereas drinking kills brain cells (i.e. permanent

@lip_my_stocking: @foco fo-SHO!: They are entertaining, but so untrue. I've alternated between smoking nightly and not smaoking at all for months at a time, so there's no reason one has to turn crazed, deerate, or indifferent. Generally you just laugh at things more. Unfortunately these scare commercials probably do

I was just thinking this morning about an anti-weed commercial i saw over the weekend, and how untrue it was. It was the one with a series of teenagers smiling and talking about how they stole money from their grandma, neglected their siblings, ditched their friends etc.

Kabballah isn't even accepted by mainstream Judaism.

In most of the shots she looked the same slim self as always. She only looked heavier due to the angle of some of the shots and the pants.

@Rhywun: You can adjust size of various interface items independently. In XP, for example, to increase the size of the icons only in the taskbar and system tray without affecting the resolution (so you can keep your higher DPI but tweak the taskbar and tray):

@FashionShowAtLunch: Nice to see you're appreciaitive. My girlfriend tried to break up with me the last time I expressed positive feelings for her — it's too emotionally demanding to know that someone likes her, apparently.

I don't get why she can't see that with each successive appearance she just sounds stuck in the past and whiny. And she usually says things that make her sound worse.

I'm more surprised by "cases of arranged marriage involving underage girls have become increasingly common in this small farming community" - Really? In f'ing California!?!

A bit too severe in my opinion.
