@fuchsiaminutia: It doens't sound like you've actually listened to the show. The sexploitation stuff is a small segment of the content, and he usually argues against most things people find wrong with the world (unless you're a puritan) in a way you'd probably support. And what has he ever done off mic that you say

Those criticising him should understand his television content is not representative of his radio show. They just pulled the scandalous segments for the TV. If you ever listend to when he runs through the news for an hour every morning you'd probably think much more highly of him.

@mrs_weasley: smear by attempting to associate them with a term. The fact that he's used the word is not what the type of association she's going for is about.

@mrs_weasley: She's getting flack becasue she's got the bad record on issues related to ACTUAL RAPE. Like not allowing abortion after rape, not allowing abortion after incest (rape), making victims pay for rape kits, Governing a state where the incidence of rape is 2.5 times higher than the national average......

@SaparnaNarbasaurus: It wasn't debunked. The exaggerated version of it that was never really what the argument was was debunked.

@DiffidentDolly: I don't know that outrage is appropriate. I'm sure they don't have a member of each sex for a variety of ethnicities.

@Kali Mama: I got this in an e-mail earlier too!

@preetalina: Again i think it was Ifill trying to be extra careful not to look dem-leaning with this whole book controversy. And Biden was counseled against any and all attacks.

@Archetype: You can work in engineering or science without being stuck in a lab. Having worked in various areas of engineering (and law) there are lots of roles in projects that could be quite interesting. I have a friend who pretty much blows thing up, designing for example laptop computers that can withstand a

Also, I can't handle another "leader" who pronounces nuclear as "Nu-cu-lar". That alone should tell people this woman isn't top material.

@Louiso: on point #2, I suspect Ifill didn't want to get stern with her when all week Republicans have been trying to make Ifill look biased against Palin.

@NefariousNewt: I don't know about that. I think this might be the first time some peopel had the attack-ads on Obama's tax policy refuted, for example. I don't think palin swayed anyone but might have stopped some heorrhaging. But I think Biden might have recruited some voters since unlike Palin he actually explained

Palin sounded very rehearsed and looked stiff like a kid in school play with stagefright. But she eeked out a pass — now the McCain campaign can bury her in local appearances so she can't make big gaffes, with her image somewhat restored.

whenever Palin speaks it looks rehearsed.

I totally don't believe in talking politics openly at work, or even in semi-privacy if there's a chance we'll disagree. However, I will discuss politics with co-workers in semi-privacy if I happen to already know that we share the same view. I think one has to speak to people one disagrees with in order to really

There will be an audience

@PopoZão: Criticising one for not being able to back up his/her talking points is criticising incompetence and willful ignorance, not intelligence. I don't see many commenters calling her an stupid or an idiot.
