I just want to remind everyone that overgrown children like this, due to the immense amounts of money they have, are able to buy and sell politicians, thus controlling every aspect of the way the world works.

Were you under the impression that women don't get judged for crying, especially at work?

That is just a weird idea.

I would love to see Burger and Fries let loose in their home. He's a formidable little dude.

Cory's on your side, dipshit. READING COMPREHENSHUNS WE HAZ EM

Spotted the cutest guy at the New Year's Eve party just as my glasses were unfogging as I came in from the cold, and immediately thought, "Eh, he's out of my league." Over the course of the evening, I watched him set off fireworks in the backyard, do a bunch of elaborate stretches before dancing like a maniac, running

Eh, I prefer having control over my bowels.

How the fuck does that woman have over a million dollars and I don't?

There is no God.

Anonymity. Someone who is abandoning a baby is likely someone who is terrified that anyone will even find out that they had a baby (often coming out of a situation of abuse).

"I also tend to think that if a person is contemplating surrender, they've probably already tried most of the other avenues."

You're assuming a lot about people who are doing something incredibly desperate: women who abandon babies are women living in extreme poverty or living with extreme abuse and/or mental illness.

Giving up a baby for adoption is seldom a simple thing that doesn't leave a huge hole in a woman's life afterwards. If we can help women keep wanted children that they're desperate enough to abandon because they can't feed them, that is a VERY GOOD THING for all parties involved.

Ok, how about the US's present, then?

You know, you don't really win arguments by repeatedly calling the other person "stupid." It's not like a magical spell where if you say something enough times, it's true.

As far as I can tell here, I'm the only one here who has set actual goalposts. Maybe you should look up what phrases like "move the goalposts" mean before you use them? It would be helpful if you want me to take you seriously. Like, I know that you realized at some point that you could impress your teachers and look

There is a difference between being "responsible" for atrocities and continuing to profit from them, but are you seriously claiming that people whose wealth came from those atrocities are not connected to them in any way, and have no moral responsibility to do something better with that money?

I mean, wealth comes from

Man, you've stopped even trying to make sense now.

The slaughter of almost all the indigenous people? Really? Which other country was founded after wiping out nearly everyone who lived there? There might be one or two Caribbean islands that come close; Columbus and his people basically exterminated the Arawak, but that was on a much smaller scale. Belgium murdered

So what you're saying is, "Other people can throw asinine arguments at you, but if you want to be taken seriously, you must always behave with perfect gravitas."

This is JEZEBEL, LADY.

"We now appreciate the larger significance of those bombs; at the time, we did not."

"Japan was terrorizing millions in China. Rape of Nanking? Unit 731? They weren't innocents being punished for no reason."

All those murdered kids were combatants, huh?

Er... how is looking at history with open eyes "wallowing"? I see it as not being in denial, and wanting to push things to be better. If you pretend the past wasn't shit, and ignore the evils in the present, how the hell are you going to fix anything?
