You're not alone.

Yup, a fake

"It's a fire sale!"

Not saying the General are harsh snow tires like the old Kelly/Pacemark Snowtrakker, however you do see a difference when you switch from a "snow" tire to an "ice and snow" or "ice" tire.

Your stock size being 215/45R17, I would personally buy rims and go with 205/55R16; more choices and lower tire prices. (Between $30 to 50$ less per tire, enough to cover the cost of rims). You'll lose handling, buy have a better ride and better performance in slush and wet pavement.

What size?

The DWS is great for most of winter, however it's an all season compound not designed for ice.

As much as I like the General for winter driving, it's a noisy tire designed for snow and slush in city driving.

He'll be lucky to get 3 winters outs of Blizzaks out of New York's winters...

Working for the North Korean government is like working for The Onion

I just bought a SSD, should be shipped within the next days.

Metro is the new "icon" interface that acts as a start menu.

Unfortunately I'm not "that" old (28) and I've upgraded every windows from 98 to 8, and using Macs from time to time...

I upgraded from 7 to 8 because I wanted change and I wanted to try it.

Because starting the app will just prompt Desktop and load it all anyways...

When you're usually multitasking (with only 1 screen), having a full screen window is not really practical.

I upgraded because of the promise of added speed and also the curiosity about Metro. I thought it would be great, however I'm disappointed by the global feel, the lack of customization.

It's just with the basics, like having to toggle between everything, every time.
