Did you see that Tavarish needs $9,000 for the most basic repairs to his SL55 AMG? And perhaps as much as $15k-$20k to fix it all?

Actually about 10" shorter, which isn’t insignificant. Presumably these are market segment competitors and the Merc is probably not as good, but it seems closer to sane for an entry level German luxury SUV.
Seriously. A GLA with wood and heated leather seats is less than $40,000.
Are these things going to depreciate? The cheapest one on Autotrader is a 2015 with 48,000 miles and it’s still $42,000.
Yep. My 70 year old neighbor was offended when a sushi restaurant named “Okinawa” opened up. My grandfather would have NO second thoughts. He also wasn’t a fan of sushi, but he wouldn’t have had a problem.
My grandfather fought in the pacific. He was not would up or hateful about the war or the Japanese. Subsequent generations’ are synthesizing hatred.

That’s the only driving game I ever got addicted to. Also, it’s the reason I think old 911s are snap over steering death traps and 914s handle perfectly when drifting through the Black Forest. Don’t know how realistic the driving dynamics were modeled, but I think the gyst was right.
I thought the very fact of the IMS existence *was* the design flaw. Are there any aftermarket options that keep it from damaging the rest of the engine when it does fail? I might be fine with taking the risk of an expensive repair if it failed (that’s what mechanical devices do sometimes), just not the risk of a new…
The vendors will have to make this happen. As you said the manufacturers won’t but at some point a company came to Western Digital and said “I need another 10,000 MFM hard drives” and WD said “uh, no, but let me show you these IDE models we have been working on.” Bosch and other big players may have enough leverage to…
Flip flops? It’s Crocs that should be banned.
Revs up AND down without hassle, so that’s good news.

This is the official car of Colorado.
This isn’t way too late, but I am going to post this every time I see k-car hate on the site. I am not a fan, per se, but it doesn’t deserve the hate. This will get repetitive, but here we go.
Also car and Maryland related and of poor, grainy VHS quality: Yuppie Drone
I love this! It’s like Stump the Chumps but more subjective and if Tom and Ray were even more unhinged.

Yes! It’s gorgeous. I love my 135i, and I am glad that it doesn’t have iDrive and internet connectivity so it can’t read this, but it’s pretty homely in comparison. The proportions on the 2 Series are just right.
Ford Furglaine is what the Swedish Chef drives.
