#OhFlorida!
Add another non-engineer who appreciates David’a enthusiasm and ability to explain this in a way that I can understand.
Pooh: “So there I was, flat-out through the Mulsanne kink and BAM! I hit a goat...”
That’s amazing. I can’t believe that this is still allowed. And this is coming from a guy who had the window smashed out of his XJ from the gravel rooster tail of a semi truck while spectating the Pike’s Peak hill climb at devil’s playground.
Stephen Fry has everything--immaculate diction, a soothing tone, stellar timing and I think his vocal cords are actually vocal corduroy. Sure, others might be more intense or low key, but who else could you stand for the rest of your life?
Gotcha. Thanks. As a former XJ and now Fiat 500x and 1-Series owner the Renegade seemed plenty big. Maybe we need slightly smaller compacts and slightly smaller midsizes and who needs a Grand at all?
Not a car, but that time I took my Vespa GTS named “Enzo” near the top of mount Evans (approximately 14,000 feet) in Colorado.
Why do we have this and the Renegade?
These are the same people who thought Harry Potter was increasing the enrollment of satanism. They cannot take a joke, nor do they know who Terry Gross is. Her name sounds like it might be a joke but luckily these people don’t get jokes.
As a native Texan I can say Texas is the new Florida. Just with marginally fewer gators.
Jerry Seinfeld talks about this super-hero thinking. That you are somehow strong enough to hold down a mattress at 70 MPH.
Driving by a European exotic off road? Unimaginable. Only a complete git would do that! Uh, wait.
I bought my Fiat 500x just before this was announced and I kinda wish I had known. Even though I previously had a new 2004 Mini Cooper S that was in the shop 14 times in 3 years I loved that thing.
Still smoother than the 9 speed in my Fiat.
It’s a 50 year old design. Why should it have to be licensed? Our copyrights were never intended to last in perpetuity. It's killing both our cultural history and future innovation.
No one I know got punched by Clarkson today.
Yes. A couple of reminders for those that have forgotten the charm of a nice wedge.
They actually sell the 500x in the US. Everyone here hates them, but small car fanatic me (Geo Metro, Chevy Tracker, MGB, Mini Cooper S, Z3, Miata, A3) owner *me* bought one. It’s pretty great. Good steering feel, uh-lively handling, nice but not too aggressive ride quality, spacious, quirky and rare. Nice…
I thought of Alpine too. You can call me Al.
