Good to know. I had friends excitedly posting this to FB and all I could see was “1996 Intrepid concept.”
Counter point: Is it sad that I would have believed that Chrysler would try to make a this exact car in 2015?

Short wheel base, short overhangs, wheels pushed out the the edges. Nothing about this says “bloated” to my eyes, especially when compared to other modern SUVs and trucks.
$50k tops.
I see Ford Rangers all the time in Germany too. It’s sad because my folks need a truck but don’t need a $50,000 F150 (or any of it’s ilk).
Not bad, but I like the Bronco concept better, plus my dad had on old Bronco so there’s sentiment at work too.
I’ve causally followed the 818 but haven’t seen anything about an AC setup for the coupe. Any links you could post?
I wouldn’t say the terrible air flow to the TMIC is a design flaw as such, it’s what happens when you try to stuff an engine designed to sit in the front of a car into the middle.
Still concerned about that lack of AC and an enclosed car in the summers. But I guess that would be a good problem to have to worry about,…
That’s cool (and an improvement I think) but the roofline is the part I like the look of most of all. ;-)
I watched the GRM video series when they built one but I don’t remember them mentioning the door handles. Those *are* dead ringers for NA handles.
I don’t know. FF is famous for the “1 donor” theory of kit car design but who knows. Those sure aren’t WRX handles.
Yeah, it’s been a “soft launch” if ever I saw one. I guess as production ramps up they’ll do the same with marketing. With no AC I think the roadster is probably the better bet, but man that coupe just looks soooo much better.
As I said before, I hope I’m wrong but I predict the M2 will be just a smaller M4 with no CF roof and limited exterior colors and 1 interior color. :-\
Were you in that big group that did the tour? Didn’t Dackelone meet up with y’all?
Hit me up when you come over again. I’ve got a minor gopro rig. We can fight about BMWs in person! ;-)
...like walking around a vinegar distillery in Venus.
The Shenandoah Circuit at Summit Point has a replica of the Karussell, so the idea of copying great turns isn’t without precedent. I say “build it and I will come.” At least for the auto track days. ;-)
