More power and technology does not mean more connection or more fun. BMW has (had?) a chance to make an updated 1M in the M2 but they’re going to make an M3/4 that’s detuned to meet the marketing department’s wishes. Can’t have the “little brother” upstaging the money makers.

I think this is why there’s been such a delay in showing the M2, the engineers understand what a huge disappointment it’s going to be to the BMW faithful and car fans in general. BMW is losing their soul but they’re gaining the world, so it’s ok for the shareholders at least. :-\
