I don't get it, couldn't you have the option of using a code and linking it to your account?

Why would they take it away. Just make it an option.

I don't know, maybe that's just too simple.

Those features still seem to be there (at least the gaming part not sure abut family sharing) according to the website.

This. If they got rid of forcing us to use the Kinect, I would be getting this probably day one maybe. As of right now, I'll wait to see what they do with it.

Since many (most?) games are multiplatform, I just don't see developers looking at the Kinect going, "You know what, we should put twice as much into the X1

Sometimes companies will through out "bad" or fake PR just to see how consumers will react to get an idea of what the general feel is for what they're product is or what they're trying to implement.

With how poorly this was handled, I'd like to think MS was never actually going to go through with all this unless of

Mother of god...

If this is true, I may actually be on board for this.

Getting rid of region lock? As someone living in Europe where moving to another country is very likely, I would love this. SO love this.

Now, make the kinect an option and I will buy this right away.

WAIT!!! Don't forget about CUSTOM ROBO!!!

I didn't see it on the list (maybe I'm dumb and can't read) but that game was amazing and really really cool.

Unless you mean games that were developed by Nintendo and not just for game exclusives to Nintendo then nevermind.

I'm forced to have it. I don't want it at all.

It's a peripheral whether they consider it one or not and it's annoying to even have to have it at all to make the whole damn system work.

It's a gimmick for now and that's all it is. It's integrated into the social aspect but hasn't really been integrated the gaming

Being taken aback by the idea of being forced to use a gaming peripheral that you have no desire/want to use?

So the fact that people don't want something but they're being forced to use it isn't weird to you at all? If I said "Here's a whole slab of ribs but in order to have them you have to also eat all this calamari

This 1000 times.

Finally someone who gets what I'm saying. I want to choose when to go online, not be told I have to.
This is the biggest problem to me is that no one understands the complaint. It's no option to choose whether or not we want to do something.

I personally hate being forced to do something so the fact

The Kinect you just plug out.

The Kinect 2.0 has to be connected in order to use the Xbox One.

Cloud gaming would only be a major factor where heavy calculations are involved so there's no lag/host advantage though right?

I mean, I don't feel like the cloud will be used for all games. Heavy multiplayer ala CoD or Battlefield sure. Titanfall from what I've seen will use it too with all their A.I involved.

What if

Well I never got a Kinect because the games that we're using it weren't interesting/appealing to me.

If you could get decent companies to get behind it and make some good games and get people excited about moving around and doing stuff with it, I'd be all for it.
However, forcing us to use it just seems like an

I not 100% convinced that cloud gaming is the new frontier. However, I would love to be proven wrong because it is a very promising aspect.

Also, you're right in the no console gave a reason to play online, it was more the particular game(s) that gave us reason to get Live.

Sony's cloud stuff does exist though. They

...follow the white rabbit?

Good god, I wish I could pay $60 a year for Xbox live lol.
Please a year here is around $100 so no, I don't pay for a year. I pay for like a month because I know I won't play more than that.

Yes, they have gone beyond gaming but, I've always had the option to use it as just a game console (which I generally do with the

But you have to use the Kinect though, again, they're taking away choice.

I don't see developers really jumping on the Kinect bandwagon right now. Maybe 3 years from now there will be awesome Kinect games as they use the technology but, as of right now, it' not worth it.

I'd be willing to get an X1 if they got rid of

My problem with this is that it's a gaming console. You know, for games. I haven't been consistently online with my consoles in like 4 years (got on briefly for Halo Reach/4). However, I always have the option to jump on even when most of my time is spent offline.

Choice is what they're taking away. That is the

Actually she was just there...oh...I see what you did there. lol

My friend (who is a manager at Gamestop) said all the X1 pre-orders were already sold out.

Like...what?

It's amazing how you think that everything we see is what there is.

Oh well, it's a gddr5 ram/vram combo thing.

Good day.
