Used game DRM: Not the same as Xbox. First party publishers will not have online DRM and with 3rd party games, it's 50/50 as it's always been.

2 biggest game announcements: Final Fantasy, sure, but there's no guarantee that KH3 will be on the X1. A bit pre-mature there.

Paid Online Services: Cheaper than Xbox Live and

But you don't have to pay Sony to use Netflix...

I guess, I didn't see the Sony event (living in Europe) but I did get to see the X1 event.

What was impressive about what they showed? The only thing that was interesting (at least to me) was Halo and that's just because I want to continue the story (which I can't because I will wait till Microsoft drops the kinect

You do realize that publishers and major companies get access to stuff WAY before consumers do right? RIGHT?

Honestly I'm surprised people are acting like worse hasn't been said before...ever.

This makes sense doesn't it?

I mean if Sony said "Hey you! No drm!" and Microsoft is over there like "Better be puttin' DRM on that!" I feel third parties would be more willing to go with DRM over NO DRM so I feel it's better for Sony to not make a decision and let them decide.

As an American living in Europe with an American Xbox 360.

Can I just take some time to tell you how incredibly frustrating it is with all of microsoft's crap drm and region-locking bull? Please?

I can't believe people are going on about how it isn't that big of a deal that they don't give gamers a choice. Like they're

Ask, ask and you shall receive hehe

Are you talking monthly or yearly? Monthly I hope O.o

As an apprentice, I don't even make that. I make 500 CHF (Swiss Francs) a month which is something around 400 Euros.

Oh yeah, I'm hoping the PS4 is better.

I live in Switzerland. That 500 Euro price is going to just kill the market here.

Yeah, I know.

Supposedly since the new consoles are using x86 processors it'll be easier for developers etc. etc.

Yeah for super high price on the Xbox One though right? -_-

Certainly seems that's what they're trying their best to do isn't it?

The stream cut out right when he announced the price. Did he mention in Euros (since I live in Switzerland so I can have an idea)?

If it is 500 Euros, that's around 660 US dollars. WTF?

Then they're going to overcharge for the mere fact that Switzerland has higher prices and THEN they'll overcharge for X1Live.

Guess

THANK YOU. Now just don't overcharge here in Switzerland and I'll be a happy camper.

Non-live? Really?

Then how will you be able to "verify" that you were online? O.o

It's more upsetting because you see games being designed with that in mind (casual>core) and you see some franchises suffer over the years because of it (looking at Crysis on this one).

That's great that they're evolving the concept.

My problem is not with what they want to do, it's giving us no options.
It's either we buy and accept or we don't.

I have personally enjoyed Xbox since the original but this will be a console to avoid.
Also, I live in Europe and all the stuff they're using to "evolve" the

It's a video game console. I should not have to connect to the internet to play video games.

Even Steam lets me play offline.

I reiterate, it's supposed to be used for video games. Not going online and checking facebook, playing games. PLAYING.

This is a pretty cool concept. My only possible problem with this are the speakers. I use a headphones to play on my PC and I would have no need to use the speakers or the subwoofer. Speaking of subwoofer, anyone else feel that would be awkward to sit down with that on your back?

Oh yes, it's sad to see the parents not give a damn.

All the time it was "M'am, I have to let you know the game is rated M for drugs violence..." and then they would cut me off with "Yeah I know, it's fine. He plays this stuff all the time."

Better hope they're teaching them the difference between a video game and

I could see the trading and buying of used games through an xbox live feature but, knowing Microsoft, I doubt the prices would be fair.

I've seen games from Microsoft on their store that was close to full price after years of it's release where as I could and pick up the game used at Gamestop for around a quarter of
