if this article has been posted a week ago, I would have said Gizmodo just made up some Alex jones character for a funny article because this kind of ridiculous pointless conspiratorial brain puke cannot be thought up by an actual human being.

for the first time in my life I thought id gotten lucky with one of these things and Walmart dashed my hopes. Was traveling, got an email at a reasonable time like 10 pm to say preorders were open, went online, orders were indeed open. tells you something about the psychology of scarcity, I initially thought hey look…
One of the reason I loved/love apple products what how everything worked seamlessly. iPhone MacBook Mac mini iPad. Yes, you are in a walled garden, but for someone like me that started valuing simplicity in my computers after graduating from university, the walled garden was amazing.
I’m usually one of those people that is cynical every time there’s some movement to stop buying xyZ because of some small issue because I think people just over react. But in this situation even a cold hearted individual like myself has to say stop buying dell immediately.
Will anybody bother to tune in??? I bet they will. Or at least the audience he wants to tune in - big media, for the coverage they can provide. Unless I’m missing something, I think this broadcast is for the mooch to give his side of the story. And that is most definitely going to be spicy and full of quite a few…
I absolutely agree on the read button placement. No idea why iPhone won’t do it other than the practicality of having cutouts in cases or unlocking a phone if it’s sitting on a desk. I think the convenience of a rear button far outpaces the other issues.
Interesting article, but if the purpose was to dissuade people from using jammers, if someone already has one, low probability this would convince them to abandon it. On the other hand, it probably just made a load of people aware of what they are and I bet there’s going to be quite a few people with new jammers.…
Yes exactly! Supporting these scalpers is exactly why we end up in these situations. But not enough people care about the overall system and just care about having this item. I was reading they now use programs to buy up stock online. I’m sure this can be circumvented but I guess retailers don’t care as long as items…
I get that this thing has a lot of nostalgia involved, and while I wasn’t into the original classic, I was hoping for a snes classic. But $300?? Noway. I’m someone that can very comfortably pay that, and waste a lot of money on a lot of things, but out of principle I wouldn’t pay that, and also knowing that the price…
Why not just point the Hubble at it and see if there’s something there? And that’s not me being funny. Maybe to astronomers or scientists that might seem like an absurd suggestion because of some technical reason but I’m seriously curious why we can’t do it. If the Hubble Has such a high resolution, and even though…
The utility of a business such as Walmart is something different than how Walmart runs its business. Walmart is successful because it gives something consumers they need...convenience.
“Uber’s coup de grâce is simply proof that the company has fucked over a lot of people since its doomed inception, eight years ago. I’m not happy the company is finally getting its just deserts. I’m honestly as pissed as ever that Uber even exists...”
So I’m unclear about how this works. The drone has to be registered based on where it will be operated so it complies to rules. But will dji use some kind of gps data to figure out where it’s operated? Or is it a voluntary location input? What happens if you travel a bunch as I do and that would be the main reason I…
I have a MacBook Pro from 2010 that I upgraded with an ssd and replaced the optical drive with a 1tb secondary drive. It’s still going strong. This is the first year I’m starting to see a bit of annoyance from it, but nothing a system format won’t fix I think. I have just been upgrading since 2010 with no formats. But…
When you get a laptop with usb c you create donglegate and complain about how it requires dongles and it’s impractical. Now when you get normal USB you complain about how there’s no USB c and that a 10$ amazon dongle is not a problem at all. Never happy with anything. Personally i doubt I’ll make a pc buying decision…
I use a Gillette Mach 3 turbo still. Is this philips going to match that? Or atleast if not match then get close enough to be virtually indistinguishable?

Not sure why Prometheus got so much hate. I really liked it, whether as part of the alien franchise of standalone sci fi flick. Maybe at some point it just became cool to hate on that film. Or it just doesn’t comply to some kind of alien fanboy standards I.e inconsistencies with timelines places people etc. between…
A question on using vpn’s...from what I know a vpn hides the actual traffic, but not the actual sites you visit. That’s because the domain name still needs to be resolved and that’s doesn’t go through the vpn. so while you vpn can see you went to bbc.com it doesn’t know what you browsed there or types.
If you’re going to just get a site on the uselessness of just a small portion of its content and pick and choose the worst it has to offer to convince people, then by those standards gizmodo should die an immediate death. I bet there’s more actual useless posts (not commenter a but actual articles) on gizmodo than…
I see two interesting points emerge out of this whole Russia hacking the elections bit. And I say that as someone that does NOT like trump and never liked him even way before he got elected.
