You’ve missed the point where he/she/they were implying devs. Not players lol.

I believe their audience extends beyond the range of Thanksgiving celebrators. 

They have no choice now. It’s either try to share oxygen with Cyberpunk 2077, release asap aka what they’re doing, or delay to 2021 ie a new fiscal quarter which is prob a no go because of “protecting shareholder value.”

I... kind of agree here? Definitely think Conker is waaaay too niche. Master Chief could maybe work, but I’m not sure how appealing it would be. If I had to go for any armor clad fps character, I would probably go for Doom Slayer over Chief, and I’m a huge Halo fan. I’d love it to just see the Doom/Isabella memes…

I’m not sure why you’d want master chief or conker. One is a straight-laced space marine who’s sole defining characteristic is Fancy armor and conker had one good game in bad fur day but... I mean that was almost 20 years ago.

As someone who doesn’t follow this kind of thing too closely, the reaction from the community has really come off weirdly bitter. It’s peak gamer-bubble. 

Minecraft makes sense for a number of reasons:

Oh man, I did not imagine that the amount of salt that this would bring, but I am here for it. 

This is everything I could’ve hoped for, both in that I wanted him to get in, and because I really wanted to see people get mad that he got in. 

I’m not surprised, and I completely understand why they included him (and it works, tbh), but I can’t even begin to describe how quickly my excitement deflated when I saw Steve break through the wall. Can’t win ‘em all. I’m sure a lot of people love this, though, so I’m glad for them.

Some of the scenes in that make me really want some kind of slice of life Pokémon anime. It’s still the Pokémon world with the tournaments and all that in the background, but it’s full on grounded slice of life

Also, Warcraft 3 Reforged. Blizzard is an specialist now at advertising stuff that never appears on the finished product.

Same. D3 eventually became a good thing in its own right, but that thing it was doesn’t resemble the lead-in information very much and also I really do not trust modern day Activision Blizzard to make a good game anymore.
