I was going to suggest a Toyota Hilux;
Really, German? Doug I am so disappointed in you right now.
Be cheering.
I work in a hardware and I’ve had to excuse myself to the back storeroom a couple times this morning after hearing about Batman.
That’s an absolute shame.
OMG, I’m dying!!! #COTD
Hopefully the Raptor is into FiSTing
I think a first Gen Porsche Boxster would drive a Porsche 911... just to see what it would feel like to be a real Porsche.
As a CG aviator, please, no... Flying boats are cool, but there’s a reason we don’t have them anymore.
I ride a CBR250R with stock pipe, so basically it sounds like a glorified lawn mower, and I still need ear plugs. It has nothing to do with the sound of the pipe (which is aimed behind you, and even with louder pipes (i.e. GP shorty with no silencer) it isn’t the pipe you hear the most, it’s the wind.
Even with a good helmet, the wind noise on a motorbike at 70mph is in the region of 100 dB which can start to damage hearing after 15 mins of exposure. I always wear earplugs when on a bike, but I’m probably over sensitive about my bat-hearing.
I ride with earplugs on my KTM RC8 1190. It has the stock silencer with twin catalytic converters. It’s not loud, but the wind noise will surely cause long term hearing damage at highway speeds. Everyone who cares about their hearing should wear plugs when riding. I didn’t when I started and even now I hear ringing…
As a rider you should always wear earplugs anyway. Wind noise is a killer.
Visibility is similar across full-face helmets. It’s minimally mandated at 105 degrees to each side and we humans can only use 90 degrees of that.
Oh FFS. Slap a Go Pro on the tank and give us the raw footage. Pedrosa’s riding needs NO added fluff.
Omg, how funny would it be to crowdfund the weekly fines so the plane can be there forever...
A lot students on track tend to be reactionary. They don’t start counter steering until they feel the car’s rear end moving. This often ends in a spin even if you think you are prepared for it. When driving extremely fast like that guy, you can’t be reactionary. You have to be driving in front of the car so to speak.…
I appreciate the explainer here, I actually learned something (maybe not the concept but the particular vernacular) there. Based on my understanding my car (in vacuum below 3700) has a high boost threshold but minimal turbo lag rather than my old understanding that my turbo was “lagging” below 3700.
