Not listed since there are literally another 200+ roads that fill the gaps between the top 10 listed here, in South America alone.

And about 50 in Colombia and another hundred or so in Bolivia. You didn't expect a headline here to be 100% factually accurate did you?

Ferrari were toying with something very similar in 1987, not certain if it ever made it onto an F1 race grid, or if it was just tested.

The extra price can almost to the dollar, be put down to exchange rates. Look at the $US vs $AUD for the last 10 years and you'll see why it's so expensive.

GM is selling basically all of them that they bring over, its Cafe standards that is limiting sales, not a lack of a real transmission or advertising.
PS, we worked out a while ago that it'd cost you around $4k from the GM parts catalog and about $300 for trim and a harness section(there is an aussie company that makes

The problem with calling something like the SS a sleeper - at least in Australia, is that it's basically the same as the standard Highway Patrol car. IE, every cop knows what it is and you don't really get away with too much in one.

I guess that all depends on where you live. In Australia for eg, you could have been facing prison for throwing a lit cigarette out the window - and anyone throwing it back into your car would have just needed to say they were preventing a fire to have been home and free.

As Sky F1 reports, Mercedes has split its turbo in half. The turbine that takes the hot exhaust gas is at the back of the V6 and the turbine that compresses the cool air is at the front of the engine. The two are linked by some kind of complicated shaft running through the vee of the engine. I mean, I say it must be

Facts, logic and a basic understanding of mechanical principles have no place here. Much too overqualified to be a staff writer.

Using facts and logic in a conversation on Jalopnik? Are you new here?

It's also worth noting that Porsche particularly, frequently low balls their stated figures. Look at the Caswell video where he launches a Porsche 50 odd times - several of those 0-60 runs were faster than Porsche quoted figures.

I'm not sure how you heard that as douchey, I heard a driving coach explaining what someone else was doing wrong, to the person he was teaching.

No idea how the fire dept runs things in your area, but the crews where I grew up got an additional payment for every call out they did. The guys are probably all just trying to make sure that they get the most out of their on call rotation.

I was on a track at the time. And I completely agree, a nice set of twisties at a fun speed is more fun than just pointing at the horizon and flooring it.
