I have a hard time believing that an artisanal, locally-sourced, hand-crafted, gluten-free, organic, bean-to-bar chocolate maker would misrepresent their product in this way.

Eh. They were driving around my neighborhood on meth, with a loaded gun in the car, following a UPS driver, stealing packages off people’s doorsteps. So, I feel some pity, but also some fear of them. I think it’s more a portrait of drug use than general poverty (which I know, at times have correlation).

Customs (or TSA, whoever it was) misunderstood the relationship between the girls and their managers and one of their staff threw around the word “sisters,” and that’s probably when the officials got more suspicious. Obviously something got lost in translation.

They lied during their interview and said they were sisters. Also they did not have performance VISAs. Maybe this was all a misunderstanding but the fault seems to be with the group’s management.
