Alfa Romeo 8C (and 4C): named after the number of cylinders. Pre-war 8C and 6Cs also specified the displacement; e.g. 6C 1750, 6C 2500, 8C 2300, 8C 2600.

Countach is not a catcall, it's an expression of stupor and amazement.

Yes, that's what the pneumatic valve is for (there is just one, the second one next to the muffler is just a display piece to better show the mechanism). When it's closed, exhaust gases go through the muffler. When it's open, they bypass it.

No storage space at the front, correct. The front is full of carbon tub (which extends forwards of the front axle), suspension, steering rack, radiator, wiper mechanisms, ABS/ESC unit, HVAC. The front hood doesn't even have hinges and latch, it's bolted down, to be removed only for servicing. Brake fluid and

Afaik, all US-spec 4Cs, including the very first ones, should have been shipped with the additional air inlet. Whereas most Euro 4Cs don't have it, since it's a change that was made around 2-3 months ago.

It is on the coupé as well (look at the very first picture in the article). It isn't in the very first press shots and in the first Euro cars because it's been added afterwards. They found out that in extreme hot weather, after hard driving, the box could overheat, so they added that additional air inlet.

Here's a proper picture. A friend's 8C Competizione next to my 8C Spider.

Gearbox cooling.

That is both the hood and the trunk. There's a trunk behind the engine.

That's fake as well, actually. It's a heavily Photoshopped shot of the concept car, which ha significant proportion differences (the production car has been lengthened, and is taller). Headlights are the biggest giveaway - they look nothing like the ones on production 8Cs.

Totally looks like a Crossfire... if your name is Ray Charles.

Location of that 4C Spider photo is the ramp leading up to the rooftop test track on the Lingotto factory.

No, the CUSW platform has nothing to do with GM.

A while back, I received what I would define as quite possibly the greatest trade in offer letter.

They built 500 Launch Edition ones (actually, 500 for Europe plus 500 for the US). Non-Launch-Edition 4Cs aren't limited production.

I know. Duetto = Spider. Osso di Seppia is the first series, the one with the rounded tail (boat-tail).

Poor Duetto. I hope it wasn't an Osso di Seppia, at least.

That's the whole point of photorealistic renders. It's pretty obvious it's not real, if you look closely enough.

That is just a Photoshop by Car & Driver, based on nothing more than hot air. Looks nothing like the 952.

That is some Photoshop made by some guy. Not an Alfa Romeo concept.
