There are tons of female fans of shounen stuff. You can have a target audience that appeals to more than its target. You can also have a show that’s so good that it doesn’t matter who it’s for. I think there is probably a sizeable female audience for Titan as well.

The titular character isn’t “more of the same.” Sure we’ve seen a lot of special titans, but this Beast Titan speaks, and he seems to know nothing about the humans.
