You totally are.
Liberal justices posed questions during March arguments about whether the law served any medical purpose for women’s health. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg asked Keller how many women would live 100 or more miles from a clinic under the Texas law. Keller answered 25 percent but said that did not include a clinic in…
Good thing I’m building a giant slingshot.
That’s only if Canada manages to get their wall up before the mass exodus in November.
They have it relatively easy—soon we’ll have to climb a wall into México.
If you don’t already have a proper wine rack you’re doing life wrong.
You have a very loose definition of the word fancy.
A lot of people are saying to put on your hazard lights but DO NOT DO THIS. Your car is not impaired in any way and depending on your state it may be illegal for you to have your hazards on while in motion. The best thing for you to do is slow down, call 911 or the non-emergency number if you have it on hand (probably…
good question — though I will say that, for me, driving with my four-way blinkers on, slowly, until I got to a well-lit place was considered OK. My neighbor, however, did the same and was charged with something like evading police... of course, she’s black, and I’m white, soooooo......
Nobody’s looking for saviors here, Granddad. By the way, why not eat something?
Can people stop calling (white) men feminist because they said some nice things about women now? Or are y’all looking for the next great white guy to prop up as a savior to women?
I work in an office that has a policy that allows you to bring your infant to work until they are mobile. One lady has her baby here, and it really isn’t that bad. Yes, he can be fussy sometimes, but I honestly think the moral of the other co-workers goes up. Who doesn’t like holding a baby? Just don’t make me change…
She did arrange for child care. She brought someone with her to hold the baby when she couldn’t and take the baby out when she fussed. Nursing a newborn is time consuming - you can’t be away from them for long. I think she made a good compromise by bringing the baby but having help.
If you are nursing an infant you cannot be away from them for that long, 2-4 hours depending on their age. Since we don’t have proper maternity leave, then we should be able to take our babies with us to work provided it is not overly disruptive. That said there was this couple in my department when I was in grad…
I have spoken at a large conference with my baby in a wrap. He slept most of the morning and you wouldn’t have known he was there except for all the people saying how lovely it was having him there.
I used to comment regularly on Jezebel for years (under a different name) and stopped because of the feeling the author describes when someone she assumed would be an ally made her feel unwelcome.
At my school, every dorm had signs pointing to where you were supposed to go along with some attempt at light-hearted fun/bad jokes.
So, here’s the thing. Aside from the fact that this conversation is wildly inappropriate for the workplace, these are people supposedly responsible for following evidence to its logical conclusion, for complex analytical situations, in addition to tactical street/traffic/ whatever stuff. The guy says, “my wife hated…
Not the first time I’ve seen Title IX used this way. It’s becoming a problem. To the point some of the feminists I talk to who won’t come on here want the law scrapped. They now view it as more harmful than good because of things like this.
