The show peaked at the red wedding. Season four was cool but like a loose collection of scenes. Season 5 was basically garbage and almost got me off the show. Season six was OK but it kind of highlights that this is getting boring and predictable and I wish they wrapped it up already.

I think the show (understandably) cut a lot of the in-depth character studies that GRRM really likes to write.
