I am completely hung up on the first picture, but for the wrong reason...her head is so big...how do you even get those clothes on the doll? That does not look like a fun toy even for the dumb purpose it is supposed to serve (in other words...the food was awful, and there wasn't enough! I'll be here all day.).

What does it say about me that I just took a moment to estimate what you, a delightful commentor, but also a stranger to me, earns? That extra $4k would be nice, though...

They are adorable, regardless of issues with gender roles and household responsibilities. I'm less weirded out that he wasn't getting up on the chair to clean now that I know he uses a cane to get around, and maybe the ad was meant to appeal to those over 70? I dunno...has anyone noticed if it's aired during shows

What are the issues with it? I've been thinking about getting one, and they seem to have good reviews.

Hmm...that almost makes me want to try watching it again. Almost...

About time, but they lost me a long time ago. I tried to like it, but the way they talked about bio vs adoptive mothers bugs the crap out of me. I don't think I was supposed to root for Regina, but she was trying to be a good mom (in the one season I watched. I don't know if that holds true later on).

grabs MH's Griswold eggnog and chugs it down before MH can take it back

It's just like, where are MY opportunities, ya know? Finally. Thank you, Ryan.

I like that. It's a little thing (that I didn't pick up on...), but it has big implications.

On behalf of the internet, congrats and I hope you have a healthy pregnancy and baby!

I dunno...I get super excited for people when they get good news (vicarious happiness ftw), but imagining the lead up to this photo, I get where she's coming from. It is a bit too twee, and all the "omg, you got engaged over thanksgiving too?!? Omg, we should like, take a picture with alllll our sorority sisters to

But I think (based on anecdata) a lot of when and how a dog responds to a trigger depends on what they've been taught is appropriate. A couple people in my neighborhood have sled dogs, which are bound to be louder than your normal household with dogs (large group of Alaskan huskies with tons of energy surrounded by

That is adorable. I really think we need an open thread for videos of all our pets being super cute.

I would watch a video of that... hint

Awwww. Good dog, all trying to protect your home. I had to put on headphones because my pup came to me looking very worried and like he needed to go into witness protection (he's a lover, not a fighter).

Ermigerd, that is cute. Except for the humans encouraging howling—that's one of the ways you end up with the dog who annoys the crap out of your whole neighborhood.

I dunno...I was pretty tickled to get a diagnosis of fibromyalgia after years of doctors thinking I was a hypochondriac and my contemplating all the worst case scenarios, and then finding out the worst was just what I was already living with...it felt great. I think if you had been told for years that you were dumb

I really hope you get positive SSI and Medicare decisions very soon—those can be seriously debilitating illnesses. That is a LOT to deal with on your own. Many hugs best of luck.

You totally had me believing you until the last three words of that sentence. I was all, "Really!?!?! No wa...oh, duh."

Ugh. This is terrible. A few years ago at work, a coworker got notified that her husband and father of her children was killed in a traffic accident. She let out the most gut-wrenching and loud sob...you knew immediately something terrible had happened. I still feel sick just thinking about it.
