Why shouldn't consenting adult humans who love each other and make the decision to be married to each other - whether it's to one person or several people to each other - not be allowed to legally do so?

But is that an argument against polygamy? If I'd say I don't "understand" gay marriage - "Why would you want to marry someone of your own sex?! I would never want to do that!" - does that make it a valid argument against gay marriage?

I see no reason why poly relationships can't result in marriage. Consenting adults means consenting adults. This still wouldn't make FDLS practices and the like legal or ok.

I've always believed that polygamy between consenting adults should be legal as well. But the FLDS type of stuff where young girls are married off has to be avoided if you were to legalize it.
