Just got done with court on Tuesday for a minor offense in MN. From start to finish took 15 months - fall of 2012, like this - all for a fine of $400 and some house arrest. Never had a wedding, got married at the courthouse. Neither of us wanted one. Massive amount of money saved, and no ridiculous tradition and crap to put up with. We had a reception with all our family and friends, which is the only part of the wedding anyone cares about anyway.
