I admit I always feel this way when celebrities I admire make statements choosing not to have kids, so I guess I get it. It’s about validation. (However, I acknowledge that sexual orientation is not a choice so it’s not an direct comparison.)

A feature I still wish stuck around was the “fresh air vents” on my buddy’s ‘68 Dodge Dart. Even cruising along at low speed, you reach down and open the little door and cool fresh air would pour into the cabin (I think it must have been ducted to a cowl intake where high pressure is generated).

So, basically he’s walking the same line Dolly Parton has for a long time. It’s worked out great for her.

Scrapers’ keepers’! That puddle is mine!

I adore everything about these except the styling! I’ve long thought the world would be a better place with more convertible and otherwise whimsical pickups. It’s a bummer that the last legit droptop pickup we got is styled as a boomer serenade worthy of an Oldies Top 40 station.

Come now, the last thing we want to do is any action that might encourage these idiots to breed more.

It looks great, and as a Gen-Xer I can say the rear looks PERFECT!

Last I heard it is scheduled to be demolished. It’s a gloomy, terrible building to be in, as you can imagine.

Yikes. Fucking yikes.

I feel this must be geographically influenced, because in my neighborhood the ration is more like 75% crazy loud sportbikes to 25% uncorked HD. I hate them all and wish cops would be more judicious at enforcing noise violations (bikes and cars alike).

I saw one of these on the road in the ‘90s as a kid and was totally baffled, mostly because the owner (presumably) put a BMW badge on the front. This was pre-Google, but not pre-internet, but my searches at the time for “BMW camper or RV” came up empty so it was just this weird automotive enigma for me for YEARS.

He played a super simple kit, too, which I admired.

I’m pleased with the truck as a whole. I like that Ford kept it all fairly simple.

You’ve brought peace to my brain. Thank you.

But does it have an Avalanche-style mid-gate?!

I think his longest tenure was with Automobile (him and Ezra Dyer are probably my fav auto writers of all time). Can’t recall if he’s still writing there as I let my subscription lapse a while back.

Students are so bad at including units when doing rate calculations, which baffles me because the units are basically the instructions for how to do the operation! Follow the units and you get to the right result.

Thanks. Been waiting forever for a deal to pop up on this battery. Finally, a power pack that can power my Olympus E-M1 mkIII, as well as my work laptop (for cheap!).

There is a work around for that, too. I’ve been able to use the gas cap to wedge the lever open in the handle. Well, works unless you drive a contemporary Ford, I suppose.

For the sake of the drivers I hope it also comes with a sun visor the size of a refrigerator door! A/C can only do so much.
