I do honestly wonder if the slashing of so many environmental regs is due to lobbying efforts versus far-right idiots like Hannity whispering lies into Trump’s ear. I mean, it doesn’t seem like automaker lobbiests had anything to do with this move, for instance.  Though, I guess big oil might benefit?

That idea would hold some water except that car manufacturers still have to meet a wide variety of safety regulations and crash testing. They are still held to the same safety standards regardless of what they must do to achieve efficiency and emissions standards.

That’s just infuriating. We need to start putting red light cameras on school buses.
