Thanks for the recap, that does sound familiar, now! I think my brain cross-contaminated this story with 101 Dalmatians or something.

I wish them the best (have some in the fridge right now), but it’s slightly worrisome. I feel like Goose Island lost its way after being bought up. They seemed to lose the spark, and also they did something to Matilda and it hasn’t been as good since (did they omit the brettanomyces?).

In the era of “Adopt, Don’t Shop” and today’s emphasis on spaying and neutering your pets, I wonder how well this story has aged. I haven’t seen the original since I was a tot, but doesn’t it involve a stray dog knocking up some family’s pure-bred show dog?

Brave. I imagine your saving grace is that ballpark beers are too expensive for any Fox News humper to waste by dumping one on you.

Because just feels relevant:

You’ve got me half tempted to ride my bike down there just to take in the spectacle and take pics...except honestly I’d fear for my safety if someone mistook me for a member of the “lame stream media.

With a move that slick, I hope the rider got away free and clear!

That explains it. I was just about to comment myself that I probably can’t suspend my disbelief that in a world of real “most dangerous game,” the hunted are a bunch of attractive white people.

I find it a bit interesting that the cops are making such a “passionate”plea to keep the front plates when I’ve been tooling around Cincinnati for 6 years without one and never been ticketed for it.

Oh, wow, you’re being serious!

Well, yes, but that’s hardly a fair comparison. Blue Planet took literally years of filming and collaboration with all the best researchers and underwater filmmakers in the business. It’s an absolute triumph!

I think the goal of these shows is to reach a broader audience than the typical nature docs. I mean, I worship at the alter of Attenborough all day long, but there’s a much broader swath of American audience that are more interested in watching people on TV with animals than just animals.

It’s a surprisingly easy sell to be able to say, “sharks can seem scary and caution is needed around them, but they are also important and we need to save them from extinction.”

I think they did a great job blending the adrenaline and conservation angles last night in the Rob Riggle’s “Eat, Pray, Chum” special. He brought along a bunch of comedians to help with a shark tagging expedition. So, there were plenty of “scares” and drama and whatnot as the inexperienced folk dived with sharks for

Holy crap. That is it. Damn, the roof camo is apparently just cover up roof rails. :-/

Great observation about the antenna minus base. I suddenly got excited imagining this thing having some kind of radical soft top or removable top option. Something that splits the difference between a Wrangler’s crude (some what say, “craptastic”?) soft-top and a hardtop CUV. I don’t know what that would look like,

Things are squaring up better than I’d expected. The windshield isn’t excessively raked and the front and rear are pretty darn upright.

Should be pretty easy to diagnose the swollen arm. I mean, the kid JUST had an XRAY taken.

I can *hear* that picture so clearly. Rad.

Glad to hear Gore surrendered peacefully. Sounds like he was well armed.
