The Boy Scouts had a carwash at the Catholic megachurch next to my house. On the major road there were kids holding up signs for the carwash. One 10 year old boy had a sign that said "Chicks Clean Cars."

Your 1/4 estimate doesn't seem unreasonable to me - maybe a bit generous if anything - but even if it were only 1 out of 40 men instead of 1 out of 4, that would mean about 4 million in the US alone - still a Massive Problem.

I'd argue that no misogynist is truly sane. Women are 51% of the population and the only reason why any of us exist. It's like hating oxygen - it requires self-delusion and a detachment from reality.

Anyone who has entertained the notion that this wasn't about misogyny clearly has issues with women. What rational person would for a minute consider that this crime wasn't about gender?
