I would consider Overwatch. Especially since BF ads have it at a reasonable enough $35 (assuming that’s for PC too, because I won’t buy it on console.) Blizzard tends to maintain support for the long-term for their product, at least from what I’ve seen.

The digital deluxe edition is on sale on the PSN for $29.99 and that’s unacceptable for a sale price. That should be the standard price, imo, but personally my ceiling for this game is $14.99.

I believe the takeaway is that I was moving away from JRPGs after the PSX era (especially thanks to the Dreamcast, which had none I liked and instead a bunch of new genres I really enjoyed). I didn’t even try 14 or 11. I’m not big on MMOs at all. I also didn’t play 10 either, as I admitted elsewhere. I did play and forced myself to finish 13, at which point I realized to better value my time. So, in hindsight, I’ve not been a fan of Square since the PSX era, outside of 12.

Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing were already announced for mobile well before Super Mario was announced.

I haven’t seen Square release a new good game in a long time. FFXII remastered has features I’ve not played before from the initial US release. Same for DQVIII when it releases in January on 3DS.

I tried Bravely Default... I hated its end game and traded it in.
