Interesting. What about injuries, illness, surgeries, physical fitness level? It seems like those kinds of things are the closest to the perceived advantages that being trans gives you. You're talking about fight experience, but I can only imagine protests about trans fighters are over their physical condition, which

Yeah, you go buddy! Just keep raping those women till they stop implying you're a rapist! That'll learn em!

I know this is a serious issue but I never let an opportunity to post Allie Brosh go by.

I'm Scottish and I don't think I've ever seen these. But then my media consumption is almost exclusively through the internet and I use an ad-blocker. Are they in newspapers or...?

Polite trolling is still trolling. See also: "concern trolling".

What information is a fighter expected to disclose? Is there a list or something? Is "Are you transgender?" on that list? I'm asking seriously, I always thought promotions just gave fighters their opponents stats and record then offered them the fight.

It did, and it's a good idea, though I think in this day and age photoshop might be easier.

Does it look weird to anyone else? like it was traced from a photo or something? I might be over-thinking this.

When it comes to humans I tend to be on the "nurture, not nature" side of things, but I really have no idea about dogs. I just find it more than a little telling that dog owners are so inconsistent on it. And yeah, I agree with you on people needing to respect them rather than coddle them.

Lawyer costs, iirc. There are so many appeals (which seem to be needed) that it mounts up. And guess whether most people who are on death row can afford their own lawyers, or whether the state ends up paying for it? Rich people don't end up on death row.

As I said to the OP, dog owners are very happy to perpetuate the idea that different breeds have different personalities and behaviours. Then when the topic of aggression comes up they change their tune. I honestly don't know either way, I've never owned dogs, but you can't blame people for being nervous when dog

"as dogs, they're more loyal to their owners than the other dogs we have"

Nah, she was just being inconsistent. If her dog is incredibly loving to her and her family then that's great, but if it's going around being threatening to strangers then people are going to be nervous around it.

"everybody loves raymond" didn't have any likable characters, that was practically its whole shtick.

There was a an article a while back about how slavery went from being the ubiqutous foundation of the west's economy to being illegal in a relatively short space of time. The author cited it as an example of why it's not too late for us to stop climate change on a world-wide scale. I'd imagine you could apply the same

"rather than weighing the evidence dispassionately and rejecting the prosecution's theory."

I read that as "White Christian Rock Academy" and had fleeting visions of School of Rock crossed with bible camp.

I wonder how often posture is involved? I'm 5'9 and a third, but my posture is absolutely awful so the couple of women I've met online were probably disappointed and thought I lied about my height. Oh, and the third is important because they only let you put in whole numbers so I can round up to 5'10 without feeling

"piratical" hehe, did that sword-fighting comment stick in your head or something?

I quite like The Vagenda, but that's mostly because it's like a UK version of Jezebel. They too are obsessed with Lena Dunham's "Girls".
