I said I could shoot with a high accuracy on Quake 3 because I'm reasonably certain if you put the game on a console, and didn't add autoaim (which in a mode like instagib would be game breaking), there's just no way in hell you'd get an accuracy anywhere near that. Look, I don't hate console games at all. In fact, I

What P3RF3CT D3ATH said. And by the way, I have spent enough quality time with console shooters to be pretty used to them. I beat the original Halo on Legendary solo back in the day, so how bad could I be? I think that the original Halo had a lot going for it that most console shooters do not though. It really made up

>More gamers equals more games and more games means less innovation.

I for one, am really sick of the shooter genre. There is just way too little differentiation for way too many games. And more importantly, most modern FPSs have really questionable gameplay mechanics, and are too easy and boring to play. But then again, they pretty much have to be dumbed down, thanks to the console

Once again, the ambition and determination of one man cannot compare to the power of the emulator and the save state.

Meh, everyone knows they already fixed the best bugs in the standard N64 edition of Ocarina of Time. I doubt any of the awesome bugs from the original limited edition will make it to this version.

Wow... ok, just wow. Look, I could have given quite a few strong arguments why I didn't like the dub, but I just didn't want to get into some debate about the merits of dubbing. It's been done, and doing it any more is pointless because all of the arguments with any real relevance to the subject have already been

No one let Arino see this. It would crush his spirit after what he went though.

My God, he's figured out my secret pattern! That'll teach me for... stating my opinion?

Hmm... was dubbing the narrator really necessary? I mean, as long as the cast voices are intact I don't have a huge problem with it, but the over-dramatization in the Japanese narration was a lot of fun to listen to, and I really don't get the same feeling from the English narration. Kind of spoils the atmosphere.

...yea, so I'm just going to assume this article is a joke and not bother responding to it.

Wait just a minute now. So this game is indefensible, and yet games like Grand Theft Auto get a pass? People around here are constantly defending the most vile content in games they can find as freedom of speech, and yet this is what crosses the line? Seems like a double standard to me. I guess nothing is offensive

Holy shit yes. I could not have seen this coming in a million years, but this is about as awesome as awesome news gets. One thing, will classic episodes be streaming too at any point?

@rich8606: Not to mention the tits.

Personally I just get the feeling that there is a lot of room for improvement in the 3DS. The battery life, the small screen, the narrow viewing angle for 3D, the halved framerate with 3D enabled, etc., are all reasons why I'm waiting for a new hardware revision before I think about picking one up. I think the 3DS

The only game consoles I've really ever traded in were my Sega Genesis, and my Sega Saturn. The Sega Genesis I don't mind so much, as the main reason I traded it in was because I could already play all the games on an emulator. Also, I kept my Sega Nomad, which I still have.

>For a system which can memorize and sort information into absolute observable facts, crossed by what frame of reference they were measured in, these failsafes are no longer needed, because the fact can be used only in the exactly appropriate reference. In essence, the brain does a billion times more work than a

Interesting. But in my opinion it was exceptionally easy to tell which transcript was done by the bot, as long as you knew what to look for. Even the one that supposedly fooled the judges would not have fooled me past the first few questions.

Yea, I actually used that when I was doing my test questions, but it didn't have much luck giving me answers that were even coherent. In terms of making sense, ALICE ([alice.pandorabots.com] ) seemed pretty superior overall, but unlike Cleverbot it relies on canned answers, and does not appear to even attempt to

Hmm... is there a place where you can see some examples of actual Turing tests that were done with fairly strong AI?
