Hey authors,
Hey authors,
Oooh oooh! Idea! Could we get articles on women's sports here at Jezebel? On the regular? I don't have cable and don't generally watch much in the way of sports on TV, but if Jezebel were covering women's sports (rather that haphazard articles on women in sports - the Serena Williams articles come to mind) I'd…
To be fair, if you think a wedding is about making money for your future, the likelihood of your marriage being a sham is pretty high. It's possible it was based in homophobia, but it's also entirely possible that it wasn't.
There is no way that beach could have carried the role. He's a decent-but-not-remarkable actor. The only "name" actor who could have done it, Graham Greene, aged out of the role decades ago and was maybe always too heavy. They should have done one of two things: Made a huge effort to search for a "new" Native American…
Yes, and I love it for that. But, most of the time, there is at least some kind of qualifier when there's reason to doubt the source or when there is contradictory information available - I mean, that's even present in the Paris Jackson testimony story here. The Paula Deen story, in contrast, is being presented as…
Okay...so the link actually goes to Radar Online's "report" regarding an upcoming "article" in the National Enquirer based solely on anonymous sources. I have no idea whether she said any of that stuff. If she did, then she deserves every bit of scorn that's being heaped on her. But honestly, it sounds fishy to me…
Everyone knows this is actually the best Paula Deen recipe.
It's Russell Brand, I don't think the cheating card is going to be worth that much.
Sounds like it's just a plain old cheating rumor.
A white kid with a cross would sure as FUCK not be prevented from graduating.
....Annnnd colonization strikes again.
Let me get this straight. The school created an unbelievably stupid rule, and shockingly (sarcasm), the teenager defied it. That said, they let her walk, meaning they let it go at the time, and then, what, got huffy afterward? That seems kind of childish.
The difference is this school is on her land, and First Nations/Indigenous peoples have been made to hide their cultural roots and feel ashamed of their heritage since we stole their land from them. That's why it should be a special exception. Who are we to tell her how to celebrate her own culture or how and when she…
So, to jumpstart the people who are going to go "BUT THOSE WERE THE RULES AND SHE KNEW IT WAS THE RULE AND AND AND":
This is exactly what needed to be said! Thank you!
This is the best comment i've read all day (Drogo sealed the deal). don't think I can signal boost this cos i'm still a grey person, but
I'm a biologist, (but I work on bugs) so my objection to the way GMOs are being handled is less to do with concern about organic-ness and such, and more to do with caution about the process of creating and distributing GMOs under cover of patents and non disclosure. We SHOULD be asking lots of questions about GMOs,…
Yeah, what're this chicks bona-fides for telling us to ignore the science that suggests that genetic modification has unforeseen consequences?
Anyone else concerned by the fact that the article referenced as to why GMOs were safe was written by a woman who herself genetically modifies rice and was written 2 years ago?
The real issue here is the labeling. You should be able to read a label to see if the food you are eating is GMO or not. If GMO's are harmless, great, then slap a pretty label with a hip logo on all the food that is GMO and let educated consumers decide whether or not they wish to partake.
