In terms of it's use as a reading device it is superior. Though mostly similar to the Kindle, it stands out with the fact that you're not locking yourself into Amazons ecosystem. On my Kobo I can read just about any ebook format. Not so much with the Kindle.

You should review the Kobo Glo. I found the Kobo Touch better than the Kindle Touch, it would not surprise me if the Kobo Glo was better than the Kindle Paperwhite.
