This is great. I've always hated that about Firefox. How about anything in the about:config for working in a text field, changing tabs, and the cursor is no longer in that text field. Is there any fix for that? I just need to spend some time and go through the config.

Yup, that's pretty much exactly what I do. I use categories like Audio & Video, Internet, Utilities, Microsoft, Design, and Games. It's much easier to find something when they're in simple folders like that then opening the start menu and having to search a hundred folders.

I use Launchy religiously. I have played around a little with Quicksilver on my girlfriend's iMac and like it a lot. This app looks like it will be cool, but I'm gonna wait for it to progress a little.

I've read all the replies and no one has really hit on the labels sidebar in Gmail. The green label sidebar lists every label you have. When you click on any one label, it shows you all email that has that label. That is exactly what folders do. You click on a folder and it shows you every email in that folder.

Hmmm, for some reason that last link didn't come out right. It's supposed to be ...but I use MP3tag for that.

BRU (Bulk Rename Utility) is the best renaming utility I have used. I've used it for years now and it keeps getting better and better. It supports expressions, extensions, adding prefixes and suffixes, numbering, and changing letter casing. There are so many options to this utility. And it's completely freeware.

I just tried it and it's pretty cool. You can adjust the buffer size on the fly to make the transfer move faster. And the pause feature works really well. I've always hated how Windows copies files. I think I am an immediate convert. Especially since it integrates so easily into the context menu.

Can you go over software that helps install multiple softwares after a reload of Windows. One big thing is Firefox and all the extensions I use for it. Is there any way of integrating all those extensions into the Firefox install so they will automatically be installed. It takes forever to install all my extensions

I would like to know how to sync my Windows Mobile smartphone with the Windows Calendar and Contacts in Vista. It makes no sense that Microsoft added these features and we can't even use them.

I agree with Emily that playlists are a thing of the past. You have to create them, always keep them up to date, etc. I have a very large music library and everytime I purchase a new album, I have to input the ones I like into my playlist. But I also share playlists between computers. Then I have to export the

So is this extension supposed to work the same as the GMail Loader http://www.marklyon.org/gmail/ ? I used that to export all my old email in Thunderbird to my GMail account. It said that the original messages' dates and times were supposed to be kept intact, however the date in GMail is listed as the day I exported

In response to the toolbar tips, this seemed like a good change to make. However, if you use the download-statusbar extension (like I'm sure many of you do), this config also disables the tooltip that displays all information about the file you are downloading.
